Hi My name is Alli Gator. Bert has disappeared. I am his friend and am here to tell you the story. Let me tell you the story about Bert.

Lyfe and Ayperi were being onery little children, but then again most children can be at times. They found Bert in a pond down the road from Mamma's house. They then took Bert home to Mamma. She had a bowl and gave him a very nice home.

One day Lyfe and Ayperi decided that the cat looked hungry. They wanted Bert to feed that nasty ol' cat. So they climbed on a chair to take his bowl off the shelf. And yes of course it was heavy. Lyfe, the youngest, decided to climb a little higher to see if she could reach him better. Ayperi was holding the 2 chairs they had stacked up to get up to the shelf.

All of a sudden.........
BOOM! BANG! Down came Lyfe, Ayperi, the chairs, and of course Bert.

Well, you guess what happened. The cat, Lyfe, Ayperi, and Mamma's antique chairs got soaked. Bert's bowl got broke and there he was flopping all bubbles

around because fish can't breathe out of water. Lyfe grabbed Bert and stuck him in an old stinky boot. She filled it with water and said, "There you go Bert," just like nothing had happened. Can you imagine how he felt? Well, in the meantime, Ayperi caught the cat and tried drying him off. They decided to dry the cat in the microwave.....Kids don't ever play with the microwave! It's dangerous and poor Ayperi and Lyfe could have hurt that poor cat!

Thank Goodness, Mamma came home right then. She saved the cat and Bert. She blow dried the cat with a hair dryer, scolded Lyfe and Ayperi, and put Bert in a glass with fresh water. Boy! Was he glad.

For now, Bert lives in a glass. Mamma says that when she can afford one she's going to get him an aquarium to live in. But, it will be a little while. In the meantime, Mamma keeps Bert up out of reach of Lyfe and Ayperi.

She sometimes lets them feed him goodies, like: muddy buddies, worms, marshmallows, and etc. But she won't let them feed him any of that green stuff they made. Hmmmm I wonder what that is? Well, that's another story that Bert may tell you later.
